DESCRIPTION:Loudoun County Master Gardeners present Barbara Lamborne\, owner of Greenstone Fields. This tour and lecture focuses on how this specialty cut flower farm cultivates fresh\, local and naturally grown flowers. Over 90 varieties of flowers flourish using organic methods that nurture the soil. Barbara started farming in 2006 after moving to the 400 acre\, multi-generational farming community of Wheatland in Purcellville. She currently serves on the Executive Board for the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers and has a background in biology in addition to many years of experience working for the Environmental Protection Agency.
