If you’ve been waiting to check out Everona Dairy but thought you might want to just sample wines this weekend, then this is your perfect family outing. Dr. Pat Elliott, cheesemaker and proprietor of Everona,  has become a popular presence at many area farm markets, but this weekend she’ll be at the dairy on Saturday hosting a Christmas Open House from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. There’ll be plenty of varietals from Barboursville Vineyards, holiday crafts for sale, and, of course, samplings of the many wonderful award-winning artisinal farmstead sheep milk cheeses. Admission in advance is $10 and $12 the day of the event. Admission includes refreshments, wine tasting, and a souvenir wine glass.
