Have you been to Historic Gordonsville yet? Well, this may be a perfect excuse to visit its Main Street and take advantage of a little Harvest fun. So many harvest activities in the region, but here’s a reasonable one ($9.50 a person) that promises a good time: Harvest Dinner at Gordonsville Deli. Remember this is a chef-run spot that strongly supports the local growers and purveyors, such as Papa Weaver’s Pork.
An old-fashioned barbecue menu is planned for this Friday’s event beginning at 6:30 P. Besides the usual suspects (pork barbecue, grilled corn, and cole slaw), there are some innovative extras including butternut squash soup and pumpkin tart. To add a further festive flair, there’ll be live music to help everyone kickoff a weekend of festivities.
Busy, fun weekend coming up.
