This Saturday, September 13th is Applefest at Stribling Orchard! Come celebrate the arrival of apple season and welcome fall with a day in the country. Live blue grass music in the orchard with Old Grass Revue from 12 to 2pm. Local vendors will be here from 10am to 4pm with artwork, crafts and jewelry. Caramel Apples & Apple Wine from their neighbor Chateau O’Brien. The Bakery will be open with fresh baked pies, bread, cake and pastries. September apples that are currently ripe for the picking are:
McIntosh, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Jonathan, Grimes Golden, and Empire apples. The last of the Cortland, Gala and Honey Crisp will be available already picked at the Harvest House. Check the website for the new apples ripening each week.
Apple Season Hours:
Tuesday thru Sunday: 9am-5pm. Note: They stop letting pickers into the orchard 1/2 hour before close.

We also have apple picking poles to borrow since climbing the trees is not allowed.

The orchard is full of sun and, sometimes, bugs. Bring a hat, sunscreen and bug spray.
We have numerous picnic areas – so bring your basket!
