Tonight’s Green Drinks in Warrenton will be a live Energy Audit with Andrew Grigsby, from Commonwealth Sustainability Works. The group will do a live walk-thru home energy audit in Warrenton. This will be a great introduction of weatherization and tips to keep your home warm in the winter, and to help you save money on your utility bills and help to reduce your carbon footprint. Andrew will also help explain the Virginia tax credits which cover a free audit and 20% savings on energy efficiency upgrades. I am looking forward to this event for a number of reasons and looking forward to reporting back to you on some of the great tips that Andrew shares with us.

If you are interested in ‘reserving’ funds from Virginia to obtain rebates for an audit and/or energy efficiency upgrades, please read and fill out the online form at: http://www.dmme.virginia.gov/DE/ARRA-Public/SEPRebate.shtml. You can obtain up to $2,250 of rebates for energy efficient improvements from VA. This includes $250 towards an audit and up to $2k for ee improvements. Funding is limited so if you are considering, act soon!
