Take me to your leader!
Details are slowly leaking out about the 21st annual VA Film Festival, presented by the University of Virginia. “Alien Invasion” is the theme. First and foremost a location has been targeted; premieres will take place within the McCormick Observatory. While screenings take place in the lecture room, the Dome Room telescope will be open to the public so that you can look to the skies for Higher Life Forms. The films are to be announced September 25, 2008 on the Film Festival website; beware of others listening from above. Tickets go on sale on September 26th.
The VA Film Festival will take place from October 30th through November 2nd, and will feature films from all genres. A great bonus will be the Orsen Wells 70th Anniversy Rebroadcast of “war of the worlds” on October 30th. You can catch a flick in both Charlottesville and Culpeper (at the new Library of Congress Archives Theater).
