On May 1st the official celebration will take place in Old Town Warrenton with Willard Scott as Master of Ceremonies. Join them in starting a new chapter in history. May 1st will begin at 10 am with the historical parade. Mr. Willard Scott will announce participants in this historically sequenced parade down Main Street towards the Old Courthouse. Rep. Frank Wolf will lead the parade.
12:30 pm Band Presentation on Main Street
1:30 pm Commemorative Ceremony on the Old Courthouse Steps.
3:00 pm Unveiling of Time Capsule. The new monument will be unveiled and the time capsule sealed, to be opened in fifty years.
3:30-5:00 pm Convocation & Entertainment: Living historians, historic lectures and exciting entertainment is planned in and around Courthouse Square until 5:00pm.
6:00-9:00 pm 250th First Friday and Wine Walk: The Celebration continues with the Partnership for Warrenton!
