I know that it is only Friday, but this great autumn weather is going to get you in the mood to get out! Check out all that The Plains has to offer for Second Saturday this October 10th! For such a cute little village, there is enough to keep you really busy! Start off with a Wine and Chocolate Pairing at Live and Artful Life, 6474 Main Street, The Plains 540-253-9797. They will have Chocolate, and I mean really good Chocolate, from Wanders , from 4 – 7 PM at Live An Artful Life. Chocolaterie Wanders will be on hand with plenty of delicious chocolates for sale and the tastings are free, a donation box
will be available for a small donation to Middleburg Humane Foundation which would be appreciated.
Then with all that energy head to Crest Hill Antiques, they will be hosting a fashion show by Linda Dick, who will present the fall casual line from Jockey Person-to-Person and talk about the “Perfect 5 Pieces” to pack for a weekend getaway, from4:30-6:30pm. 540-253-5790. Next plan on heading to Zig Zag Gallery, they will be hosting the opening reception for their new show, “Points of View,” featuring work by local printmaker Lee Newman and photographer Tom Wolff, from 4:30-6:30pm. Peyton’s Place will also be open late as well, with their eclectic mix of fun and funky items. After all that shopping head to Forlano’s Market to sit on the front porch and dine on their yummy crabcakes, or fabulous pizza’s. Sounds like a great Second Saturday to me.

The Chorus of the Old Dominion — a Loudoun men’s a cappella chorus — is seeking holiday singers. Go to //http:odchorus.org/holiday_singer for details.
We typically sing at 10-15 community events during the holiday season.
The chorus is known for singing at a variety of rural Loudoun venues, including the Bluemont Store (with live chickens in hand — see http://www.odchorus.org) and farmer’s markets (where we have been known to sing “I’ll fly away” to an audience of penned up turkeys).
