Christophe Vorlet: Works on Paper
Friday, March 11, 2016 - Sunday, April 10, 2016
“Christophe Vorlet: Works on Paper” will run from March 11 till April 10 with an opening reception on Friday, March 11 from 5 – 7 p.m. Vorlet is well known for his illustrations that have been in most every major magazine and newspaper from the New York Times to the Wall Street Journal and Newsweek. This show will feature multi panel works consisting of different views of an elephant. These were inspired by the classic story “Blind Men and an Elephant” in which a group of blind men are asked to describe an elephant, but since each one investigates only a part of it, from the tusk to the leg to the tail, their descriptions vary wildly and there is widespread disagreement. A timely story, Vorlet calls these works “United Points of View”. The gallery is located at 841 Wolf Trap Road in Charlottesville and is open 1 – 5 Thursday through Sunday 1 – 5 and by appointment. 434-973-5566 and www.LesYeuxduMonde.com
