In a plantation household of Monticello’s size, the work was all-consuming. Whether a family wedding in the parlor or a dinner for the Marquis de Lafayette, numerous people were involved in the planning, creation and successful completion of all entertainment. Join us on a walk through the kitchen, parlor and dining room as we share the intricacies of dining and entertaining at Monticello. Program ends with a casual, outdoor cheese-and-wine reception.
