The 35 mm film print being shown is a recent restoration.“The Final Extra” (Lumas, 1927). Aspiring young newspaper columnist investigates the death of the paper’s ace reporter, who is killed while working on a bootlegging story. Memorial Day Ceremony
The annual Memorial Day ceremony will be held at Culpeper National Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 29. Jointly sponsored by VFW Post 2524, American Legion Post 330, and the staff of Culpeper National Cemetery, these occasions are always moving tributes to the members of America’s military. Music will be provided by the Culpeper County High School band under the director of Mr. Duane Clore. The keynote speaker will be retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel and Vietnam War veteran O. H. Perry Cabot of Jeffersonton. An informal reception hosted by the Heritage Girls will be held immediately after the ceremony at the VFW Post 2524 post home on Sperryville Pike.

Relay For Life Survivor’s Dinner
The Culpeper Relay for Life will hold the Survivor’s Dinner at Eastern View High School June 2. Registration will begin at 5:15. All survivor’s and guest are invited to join us.
Relay for Life walk will be held June 3 with opening at 11. Everyone come out and join in to celebrate our survivors, remember the ones who have lost the battle and continue the fight against cancer.
