Friends of Cedar Mountain Battlefield unveil two guns

These guns have been professionally restored to resemble their wartime appearance. The artillery, donated by the Civil War Trust, came to Cedar Mountain from General Robert E. Lee’s headquarters at Gettysburg. The event will include a wine and cheese reception, and representatives from Manassas National Battlefield Park will fire salute. From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. (and every 4th Sat. through Oct.) at Bruster’s located at 16170 Rogers Road to raise awareness and funds for the Fisher House Foundation. Fisher House provides a “home away from home” for families of patients receiving medical care at military and VA medical centers. There will be a DJ and a “Manager’s Choice Award” presented. Come out and support community and our military. Along with any donations (check donations are tax deductible) collected during the event, Bruster’s will be donating a portion of the event nights sales to Fisher House.
