Craft Time
The Culpeper County Library presents “Drop-in Craft with a Poem Saturday,” drop-in between 10:30 a.m. and noon. Children in kindergarten and up are invited to participate in this self-guided program. Parents will work with their children to interpret the poem of the month. Children will use our craft materials to translate their interpretation into art. 217 Southgate Shopping Center. Aldie Harvest Festival & Duck Race
Now in its 52nd year, the Aldie Harvest Festival & Duck Race celebrates the Village of Aldie’s rural heritage with arts & crafts, food vendors, antiques, children’s activities, tours of the historic Aldie Mill, and music. Local organizations offer baked goods. At 4 pm, visitors gather along the Little River for the Duck Race as 3,000 (plastic) ducks race to the finish line. Join the Welcome Waggers Therapy Dogs from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. for another fun Saturday of reading. Dogs are specially trained to “listen,” and do not correct or criticize. Spirits of the Graffiti House Night
To be held from 6 – 9 p.m. Pumpkin decorating and face painting for the children, with prizes awarded for the funniest, scariest and most original pumpkin.
