8th Annual Graves Mountain Rally – Military Vehicle and Vintage 4×4 Trail Rides!
Open to all military vehicles of any age, vintage, type or size. Civilian vehicles 25 years old and older are welcome as well. A gathering for all ages and the entire family! A great time of the year to get out and enjoy your classic vehicle in a beautiful mountain setting, where you can off-road in the woods, show off your vehicle to others, or just sit back and relax in the Virginia countryside! Facilities and hot showers are available. Primitive camping. Cabin and Motel Rooms available for additional cost. RV’s are permitted, no hookups. Dogs are allowed (must be on a leash). The 24th annual “TASTE OF THE MOUNTAINS” Street Festival, sponsored by the Madison Chamber of Commerce will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event has earned its reputation for uniqueness with a following of visitors that return every year. In 1999 it was named as one of the top 20 festivals in the southeastern region. This occasion started in 1992 as a heritage festival that celebrates the Mountain and Traditional cultures of the 18th & 19th century America as reflected in the customs and history of the Blue Ridge Mountains region and has continued this theme.
This event is free and has free parking at the Madison County High School with shuttle buses that run throughout the day. There is a handicap bus as well, but there are some spaces available for handicap parking on Washington Street. The Madison Free Clinic will asking for donations for those spaces.
Madison is located 27 miles north from Charlottesville on Route 29 and 17 miles south of Culpeper on Route 29.

Culpeper Air Fest at Culpeper Regional Airport

Heritage Harvest Festival
the 10th Annual heritage Harvest Festival held at Monticello brings thousands to learn about Thomas Jefferson’s legacy in vegetable cuisine, plant experimentation and sustainable agriculture. ABATE of VA, Culpeper Chapter hosts the 10th Annual Jim Orange Memorial Poker Run. Sign up at Pepper’s Grill, 791 Madison Rd, Culpeper, starting at 9 a.m. Approximate 100-mile scenic ride leaves at 10 a.m.$20 per hand, cash prizes, proceeds to benefit the Culpeper Food Closet. Culpeper Fiesta
Takes place in the heart of downtown Culpeper for 4 hours, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Plan to bring your whole family down to the Depot (109 Commerce St., Culpeper, VA) for a night a good food and wonderful entertainment. There is no admission fee and free activities will include children’s crafts, piñatas, zumba led by MFA Studios in Locust Grove, and live music featuring Trayecto Musical. Mark Harman with Harmany DJ’s will be playing a variety of Latino dance music. Reasonably priced Hispanic food. Free health screenings including confidential HIV testing by FAHAAS, as well as glucose and blood pressure checks by UVA Culpeper Hospital. Free flu shots will be administered by Walgreens. Complimentary children’s IDs will be offered by the Culpeper Sheriff’s office and the Culpeper Town Police at the Food Closet location at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.
SCSM Annual Yard Sale
Held from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Spiritual Care Support Ministry Center, 76 W. Shirley Avenue. SCSM and friends are cleaning house! We have a large and varied supply of items to offer! All proceeds will go to support SCSM’s services to the local community providing short and long term support needed by those who are experiencing any kind of loss (grief, divorce, chronic illness, etc.), including personal counseling and support groups, always free of charge. Rappahannock Rough Ride
Ride through the hills of Rappahannock County in this popular bicycle event that draws participants from around the region year after year, rain or shine. 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Multiple route options range from a family-friendly 12 mile loop through the historic villages of Little Washington and Flint Hill, to paved/unpaved road Rough Ride options to the full 63-mile paved route, one of the most beautiful and challenging one-day bike tours in Virginia. Race starts at 9; registration is $40 ($20 for ages 11 and younger) at rappahannockroughride.org, $50/$30 on race day, and includes lunch at the Washington fire hall, the starting point. Proceeds benefit the Fauquier/Rappahannock Free Clinic.

Fundraiser Walk / Run
CAYA Coalition, aka Come As You Are, sponsors a 5K walk/run, 9 a.m. at Verdun Adventure Bound on Route 229 in Rixeyville, a fundraiser to help heighten awareness of rising drug abuse in the region. Rappahannock County Farm Tour is a free two-day, self-guided annual tour offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Rappahannock’s working farms, this year with about 20 venues offering tours, products and special events. The Farm Tour’s mission is to present an unforgettable, educational and enriching experience of Rappahannock County’s (agri)culture. Piedmont Poker Run

About Children of the Grave: The East Coast area premier Black Sabbath Tribute band, Children Of The Grave plays songs from virtually every album of the original Black Sabbath group. If you didn’t get to see Black Sabbath on their final tour, this is a must attend. Who wouldn’t like Black Sabbath? The band that created heavy metal!
About Grindin’ Gears: Grindin’ Gears is a five piece alternative and heavy classic & modern rock cover band hailing from Orange, VA. Formed in 2006, Grindin’ Gears is quickly gaining a strong following and a reputation for churning out a heavy, alternative rock sound. Drawing from their influences, they turn to what they know and love. Some covers include artists like The Offspring, Alice in Chains, Shinedown, Soundgarden, 3 Doors Down, Foofighters and Pearl Jam, to name a few.
The ride starts @ 10am at Buffalo Wild Wings, then finds its way through Orange, Madison, Rappahannock, Fauquier, then back to State Theatre of Culpeper for post-ride activities, raffles and concert.
Please help us raise funds for our various educational programs designed to introduce the youth in our region to theatre and the arts.

Culpeper Cycling Century Bike Ride
This bicycle ride is fast becoming a tradition boasting great scenic beauty and paved road riding in Culpeper County during the most colorful season – Fall! You can choose between 36 miles, 67 miles, or the ultimate challenge 103 miles of countryside roads. Rest stops are offered approximately every 20 miles.
