Special Event – Screening of “Somm: Into the Bottle”
Somm: Into the Bottle, just released in February, is the latest from Jason Wise, whose 2012 documentary Somm followed four candidates as they prepared for the Master Sommelier exam and provided unique insight into the world of wine. Movie goers will be able to enjoy wine from local winery partner DuCard Vineyards while watching the film – wine is included in the ticket price. Q&A session will follow the screening, with winemakers, filmmakers and wine industry representatives. The screening is a fundraiser for The Film Festival at Little Washington, with net proceeds being donated to the Festival.

Lights, Camera, Action!
Tickets are on sale now for all events at the second annual Film Festival at Little Washington. This will be an exciting weekend of innovative, entertaining, and thought-provoking films by Virginia’s independent filmmakers.
Noted for its vibrant arts community, scenic Rappahannock County, Virginia, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, is home to many professional and emerging filmmakers. The 2016 Film Festival will feature films that celebrate the filmmaking talent in our beautiful state.
Films will be shown Friday night through Sunday afternoon at the charming Theatre at Washington, VA. Filmmakers will conduct Q&As, and mingle over coffee, wine, and food at local eateries.
Make the Festival a weekend getaway and stay at one of Rappahannock’s lovely B&Bs or inns, and enjoy meals in some of our fine restaurants.

Opening Reception for Summer Light: A Group Show
“Summer Light” will feature paintings and sculpture by such regional favorites as Sally Bowring, Pam Black, Elizabeth Geiger, David Hawkins, Gwyn Kohr, Kathy Kuhlmann, Susan Mcalister, Ann Lyne, Ana Rendich, Theo van Groll and Millicent Young. The show will run from July 16 through August 21 at Les Yeux du Monde.

Visit to Hillsborough Vineyard: A Year in the Life of a Winemaker
Loudoun County Master Gardeners present Karem Baki of Hillsborough Vineyard and winery specializing in the small batch production of complex wines that our in harmony with the terroir of Virginia. Owner Karem Baki will present an overview of a year in the life of a winemaker. Mr. Baki also teaches viticulture at Northern Virginia Community College.

Orange Street Festival
The 41stAnnual Orange Street Festival will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 along Main Street in historic, downtown Orange, Virginia. Featuring over 150 vendors displaying handmade and local goods and specialty food vendors. There will be a kids fun zone along Short Street featuring activities and entertainment for children of all ages. Live music from local artists will be featured in Taylor Park with a special performance by Burnt Orange from 4:00 to 6:00 pm after the festival closes. A beverage garden featuring craft and domestic beers will be in Taylor Park as well.

Culpeper Renaissance Inc. (CRI) is proud to serve up the inaugural Hoptoberfest – a Gnarly Hops fall celebration.
