RappCats fundraiser
Held from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Griffin Tavern located at 659 Zachary Taylor Highway in Flint Hill. Karaoke with Vicki Marie begins at 8 p.m. Celebrity bartenders, including Mayor John Sullivan and columnist Chris Green, will serve drinks. Door prizes. Non-profit aids needy felines. Cruisin For Heroes will be hosting a family friendly monthly Cruise-In
From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. (and every 4th Sat. through Oct.) at Bruster’s located at 16170 Rogers Road to raise awareness and funds for the Fisher House Foundation. Fisher House provides a “home away from home” for families of patients receiving medical care at military and VA medical centers. There will be a DJ and a “Manager’s Choice Award” presented. Come out and support community and our military. Along with any donations (check donations are tax deductible) collected during the event, Bruster’s will be donating a portion of the event nights sales to Fisher House. The Aging Together Regional Senior Citizen Prom
will be held from 2- 5 p.m. at the Culpeper Christian School located at 810 Old Rixeyville Rd Culpeper. This year’s theme is Mardi Gras in May. A king and queen will be crowned and you can look forward to a great afternoon filled with music, dancing, light refreshments and door prizes.The Prom is a FREE event for ages 50+. Life Saver Awards Ceremony
The public is invited to the Culpeper Police Department’s annual Life Saver Awards Ceremony beginning at 6 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the Culpeper Police Department located at 740 Old Brandy Road. This ceremony is to recognize officers who had a direct effect on saving a life over the past year. This is planned to be a very rewarding night for our officers, our department, and our town. Come out to support American Heritage Girls in their Second Annual Auction at Salem Fire Hall 13428 Scotts Mill Rd. Culpeper. Starts at 5:30 p.m. with many great silent auction baskets, and live auctions items including desserts, Hot Air Balloon rides, Disney World tickets, resort stays, Nationals baseball tickets and more.
