Narmada Barrel Tasting
Join us in Narmada’s wine cellar to taste upcoming vintages of Yash-Vir, Melange, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Franc Reserve. Still in their youth, these wines are expected to age in oak for another year before bottling. At this exclusive tasting, winemaker Sudha Patil will explain the process of how the wines were blended, what each varietal adds to the blend, and how they are expected to develop in the coming months. Learn about Narmada’s Barrel Ownership Program, and reserve a case of your favorite wine at the conclusion of your tasting.
Only $35 per person. Includes wine tasting and light hors d’oeuvres. Sessions at Noon and at 2:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

FFRW Meeting
The Founding Fathers Republican Women will hold their regular monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 115 N. East Street in Culpeper. Featured speaker will be Dr. Scott Kennedy, a local citizen who is the Medical Director for Wellspring, a new practice on Sunset Lane. Dr. Kennedy will speak about his vast experience over the past 30 years including his work with NATO in Turkey and the U.S. State Department assigned to embassies in Africa and the Middle East. Book Club
The Friends of the Library Third Thursday Book Club discusses “The Eighth Day” by Thornton Wilder. At once a murder mystery and a philosophical story, this novel takes place in a mining town in southern Illinois and is about two families blasted apart by the apparent murder of one father by the other. Gentle Harvest, a new concept in Marshall, Va. that combines farmers market with butcher shop and includes a dine-in restaurant, a drive-thru for healthy food on the go, craft beer and coffee bar, meals to go, meal kits, flowers and a wide array of local products.
