Net-A- Buck Fundraiser
The spring Net-A- Buck fundraiser will be held on Saturday, April 8 beginning at 8:00am until 1:00pm at the Culpeper Sports Complex. The annual event is organized on behalf of the Culpeper Recreation Foundation, a non-profit 501 c 3 organization, with 100% of the raise funds going towards the construction of an Inclusive Playground for children with all abilities. Net-A- Buck volunteers will be at entrances of the Sports Complex park with large butterfly nets asking drivers for a donation. Please give to this worthy cause!
Plant Sale
Paul Hutcheson of Windmill Heights Garden Center will provide the plants for the Friends of Culpeper County Library Annual Spring Pansy and Plant Sale on Saturday, April 8, from 9 a.m. until noon in front of the library located at 271 Southgate Shopping Center. Job Fair

Way of The Cross Through Culpeper
On Saturday April 8, 2017, the day before Palm Sunday, the procession as one Christian family to witness one common conviction: the redeeming power of Jesus will follow a cross from one end of Culpeper to the other, stopping at churches along the way to join in song, to proclaim the Gospel, and to pray.
To join the procession, please park at Culpeper United Methodist Church (1233 Oaklawn Drive) at 10am. Shuttles will drive participants to the starting point. The procession will end back at CUMC around 1pm.
The procession will begin at 10:30am from the social hall at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and will proceed for approximately 1.5 miles throughout the Town of Culpeper. Each of the fourteen stations will feature song, a Gospel passage, and a prayer. For a route map and list of stops, please visit CulpeperCross.info.

Radio Bristol Presents: Farm & Fun Time, a live radio show at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum on Thursday, April13, at 7:00 p.m. with guest performances by The Malpass Brothers and The Price Sisters. Radio Bristol Presents: Farm & Fun Time is a revival of WCYB radio’s Farm & Fun Time show which broadcast live from a studio inside the General Shelby Hotel in downtown Bristol. In the 1940s and the 1950s, Farm & Fun Time was an important program in the history of early bluegrass music and helped to establish the careers of legendary performers including Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, the Stanley Brothers, the Osborne Brothers, Jim and Jesse McReynolds, Mac Wiseman, The Sauceman Brothers, and Curly King & The Tennessee Hilltoppers.
