The Culpeper County School Board has scheduled a “TAB (Talk About the Budget) Time” at 6 p.m. at the School Board Office located at 450 Radio Lane. Board seeks input as they prepare the FY 2017 school budget. All Culpeper citizens encouraged to attend.

Life Saver Awards Ceremony

This ceremony is to recognize officers who had a direct effect on saving a life over the past year.  This is planned to be a very rewarding night for our officers, our department, and our town.  Light fare and cake honoring this occasion at the conclusion of ceremony. Free Dental Care

Germanna Community College Dental Hygiene students will provide free care on their annual Give Kids a Smile Day to children age 17-and-under from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. They’ll provide free dental cleanings, x-rays, sealants and fluoride at the Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic at 1301 Sam Perry Blvd. in Fredericksburg. No appointment is needed. Patients will be seen on a first- come, first -served basis. Exposure Group exhibit

The Exposure Group represents the gamut of subject matter including landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, architectural, and photojournalism. This exhibit will fascinate anyone with an interest in photography. The art will speak for itself.
The Prince William Chapter Delta Sigma Theta hosts the opening reception on February 4, 6-8 pm.

The exhibit will be on display January 25 – March 3 in our Caton Merchant Gallery.

Join us for a very special evening of art and music! Meet Maria Nicklin of Furyworks Productions and view her exhibit – The Art of Music Packaging Design: Album Artwork by Maria Nicklin – followed by a concert by Furnace Mountain. Look, listen, mix, and mingle!

Furnace Mountain, named for a mountain near where all the members grew up, consists of some of the most innovative and gifted musicians in Virginia. With Aimee Curl on bass and vocals, Danny Knicely on mandolin and fiddle, Dave Van Deventer on fiddle, and Morgan Morrison on guitar, bouzouki, and vocals, the band creates music that is at times lively and raucous, with spirited fiddle melodies weaving in and around the powerful rhythms of the bass and bouzouki, and other times poignant and poetic, with sublime vocal harmonies beautifully interpreting some of the oldest songs ever written.
