In December, Arts in the Village Gallery presents an All Artists exhibit, Spirit of the Season, Small Works Show, featuring 10×10 inch original and reproduction two dimensional work including paintings, mixed media and photography, as well as ceramics, jewelry and other three dimensional items displayed in black frames and shadow boxes.
The Gallery will be adorned with seasonal decor and displays of unique hand-made ornaments and small artwork, perfect gifts for someone on your holiday shopping list.
Join the artists of Arts in the Village Gallery for our holiday show and reception on December 10th from 4-7 p.m to take in the new work, mingle with friends and the artists, and enjoy light fare and a warm beverage.
Arts in the Village Gallery artists work in a range of media including oil and acrylic paint, mixed media, photography, paper, collage, ceramics, wood, copper, glass, and jewelry, and more.

Will be held at The Culpeper Police Department, 740 Old Brandy Road from 6-8 p.m. Please come out and help to support efforts to bring about awareness to suicide and help raise money to support LOCAL Prevention Programs. Born in Moscow in 1940, Alexander Anufriev endured many years as an underground “unofficial” artist in the Soviet Union due to the spiritual nature of his paintings and his view of life and was the leading member of the Odessa Group. Since coming to the United States in 1980, his motivation as an artist has not changed. More than 20 paintings will be on display.
Exhibit Admission is free. Our Exhibits are open Tuesday-Saturday (Closed Mondays & Christmas Day) from Noon to 3:00 PM as well as during concerts and by appointment.

Radio Bristol Premiers: Dylan LeBlanc
Radio Bristol Premieres: Dylan LeBlanc at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum on Friday, December 2. Radio Bristol Premieres focuses on new recordings debuted before a live audience, as well as a live broadcast and webcast on Radio Bristol. The artist will highlight music from the new release Cautionary Tale.
Overwhelmed by the speed at which his gift took him from Applebee’s server to “the new Neil Young” in a matter of months, he walked away from an unlikely major label deal after releasing two critically acclaimed albums. He slipped into a blur of booze and self-doubt. Exhausted and damaged at just 23-years-old, Dylan came home to Muscle Shoals, Alabama to write a new life for himself.
In between the moments of clarity and a few familiar falls, he also wrote a new album, Cautionary Tale: a collection of shimmering, arresting songs with the same haunting vocals that caught the attention of Lucinda Williams and Bruce Springsteen, now with a sharpened edge honed by hastened maturity.

Library of Congress Packard Campus Theatre presents “Air Force’”
(Warner Bros.,1943). Made at the height of World War II, this epic account of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor focuses on the personal dramas of the crew of an Air Force B-17 bomber that arrives in the aftermath of the bombing and is sent to Wake Island and then Clark Field to help with the defense of the Philippines. The Jefferson Ruritan Club conducts its annual Turkey Shoot at the Jeffersonton Community Center, 5073 Jeffersonton Rd., Jeffersonton ,VA 22724 (Rts. 802 & 621, east of Rt. 229). Starts at 7 p.m. Shoot for prizes. Winchester 12-gauge steel #7 shot is covered in target fees. Steel shot can be used safely in any gun with choke designated ‘modified’ or larger. Boy Scout Troop 196 will be doing their annual fund-raising door-to- door sale of poinsettias on Saturday, Dec. 3rd. The 6-inch pots are available for $6.00 each, and the 8” pots are $13.00 each. Santa Breakfast
Culpeper ’92 Lions Club, assisted by the Leos of CCHS and EVHS, will host its 11th annual Santa Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Culpeper Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. Enjoy a $4 breakfast, $1 – $5 Santa Shop, face painting, music by Harpine Studio students, vision screenings, and visits with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Proceeds go to Manna Ministry. Christmas in Middleburg
The festivities begin at 8:30 a.m., with Breakfast with Santa at Middleburg Community Charter School. At 11 a.m. the Middleburg Hunt takes to the streets creating a spectacular sight as approximately 100 horses, riders in red coats and dozens of hounds come through the town. The Middleburg Christmas Parade begins at 2 p.m. as spectators line the sidewalks along Washington Street (Route 50) to watch as a unique assortment of floats, troops and musical groups march by in a mile-long parade. The Christmas in Middleburg Craft Show will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Middleburg Community Center. A juried selection of artists will have handmade and original designs for purchase.
