Exciting news from one of our loyal advertisers, friends, as well as very talented local builders, Burch Builders Group is getting ready to embark on a very rewarding but challenging project. They will be building a home and a community center in our area, for the ABC Extreme Makeover show. The location is all top secret for now, but stay tuned on August 22nd for the big announcement. The biggest challenge in this project is to assemble all the needed items and workers to make this project a success and I am looking to you all to help make this a great project for the Piedmont.
Burch Builders Group has been chosen to build two projects for the ABC Extreme Makeover show. They are partnering with another builder, G&M Contracting because it’s not possible for them to do all of it in 4 1/2 days (it’s not really a week) Ahh the miracle of television. There are also many of our talented local craftsmen that will be involved with this project. They will knock on the door of the homes on August 22 and build/work through the 29th. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for this event, simply go to the Burch Builders Group website, http://www.burchbuildersgroup.com/ and click on the EMHE logo at the top of the page.
There is a huge need for skilled labor so if you or someone you know would be interested in building, please contact the Burch Builders Group and volunteer, remember it is only 4 1/2 days. There is also a huge need for material donations. Everything related to getting the project completed and donated actually lands on the builder, not ABC.
Watch for the build on local news every day during the week of the 22nd and it will air as a two hour special in the fall. This will be the largest project that EHME has ever done. Again, if you are interested in volunteering, please go to the site and fill out the information.
Take a look at the list of items needed for the house. If you want to volunteer but can’t or want to donate instead, Gift Cards and Cash can also be dropped off or mailed to the Burch Builders Group Office at 53-A East Lee Street, Warrenton, VA 20187, It’s on the corner of Third and Lee in Old town Warrenton.
