The Piedmont Virginian hit the races last Sunday for family day at Foxfields. After a rainy Saturday, the day was glorious and we soaked up the sun while embracing the steeplechase tradition in the rolling hills just west of Charlottesville. We snapped this photo as the eager Jack Russell Terriers, flying over the jump, duked it out for the top prize: a year’s supply of dog food.
