Our region never suffers from a shortage of possible fun offerings. This coming weekend (11-13) is no exception. Yes, Virginia, the weekend starts on Friday and since it’s summer, it barely concludes on Sunday.

If the work week’s a killer, then maybe it’s time to unwind at Veramar Vineyards’ newest enterprise, Bogati Bodega, an Argentinean-themed wine experience. The Bogaty sisters have created a relaxing destination to savor some of their wines and enjoy pairings with the chef’s specialties. This Friday they will be open until 9P to help you kick-off the weekend.

For another wine-themed event, head over to Lansdowne Resort this Saturday from 5-6:30P for a “Sinful Start to Summer.” Now that I have your attention, allow me to translate. It’s the Fabbioli Cellars wine pairing of big reds, dessert wines, and chocolate. Four wines are paired with interesting food combinations. Here’s a teaser: How ’bout Bittersweet Chocolate Mousse with Cassis Panna Cotta paired with Fabbioli’s Raspberry Merlot! Winemaker and owner Doug Fabbioli will be on hand to guide you through the tastes of summer. No sin in that!
