As we sit by the fire and think about Spring and all the wonderful CSA news, we can indulge ourselves a bit with a trip to Purcellville for the Loudoun Grown Expo, Saturday, February 19. The free event, now I know I have your attention, will feature wineries, producers, restaurants, CSAs, and who knows what else!
This first-ever Loudoun-grown focused winter event should warm our thoughts of Spring and keep us nourished until we can exclaim “just picked.” In the meantime, head on over to the historic National Register site, the Bush Tabernacle, the skating rink in Purcellville, on the 19th and check out all the opportunities for food and wine adventures.
Here’s a little taste of what to expect. Dry Mill Vineyards and Winery, Fabbioli Cellars, North Gate Vineyard, Notaviva Vineyards, Village Winery, and Willowcroft Farms Vineyards have already signed up.
This promises to be an outing you don’t want to miss.
BTW, if you have a Loudoun County store or product, this is the perfect opportunity for you to exhibit and get the word out. Exhibitor information is on the site.
