If you're out and about and looking for that “special gift” for that “special someone” be sure to visit the Village Green in Orlean. It's a little off the beaten track (off 211 in Fauquier County) but well worth the trip. I was there the other day delivering the latest issue of the Piedmont Virginian and saw a lovely selection of unusual gifts for the home and garden.  They have fresh roses delivered every week at very reasonable prices. (Call to place an order to be sure they don't run out). They also have some fabulous jewelry made by local artists.  Things any Valentine would love to get!   Be sure to introduce yourself to Charlie – the resident terrier mix. It is a great time to support these wonderful little businesses, keep them open and thriving.
