Spring is so busy, we are bustling with Spring Races, Festivals, Garden Week, Morel Hunting and so much more, but as always I am looking forward

to the next season. Things get a little slower in the Summer, it is about time off, Family Events and taking extra time to enjoy the area. The Piedmont has so many wonderful activities and special places, can you share some of you favorites with me?

We are coordinating a “Summer Sampler” story for The Piedmont Virginian. We would love to hear about some of your favorite things to do, see, eat, drink, etc. in the summertime throughout the Piedmont region of Virginia. What is your favorite weekend getaway, a special hiking trail, a secret swimming hole, outdoor festivals & concerts, farmer's markets, vineyards & wineries, outdoor bars & restaurants, and of course lets not forget Piedmont pies and Ice Cream? We don't want to know about your run of the mill places, we want to hear of your locally owned, genuine Piedmont.
