The North Face Endurance Challenge – Volunteer Opportunities
The Mid-Atlantic regional of The North Face® Endurance Challenge series will once again return to the Washington, DC area. Algonkian Regional Park (Start and Finish Festival, 47001 Fairway Drive, Sterling, VA 20165) will serve as the home base for the event and runners will then travel through Great Falls Park and along the Potomac Heritage Trail.
The NEW dates for 2010 will be Saturday, June 5th and Sunday, June 6th.
Also in 2010, we will be introducing the new two-day format as well as 4 new races. Gore-Tex 50 Mile, 50K, Marathon & Marathon Relay races will be held on Saturday, with the Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, & Kids Run on Sunday. Bring out the whole crew and make this a family affair!

The Endurance Challenge would not take place without the help of our many hard-working and selfless volunteers. We sincerely appreciate the time, effort, and sacrifices made by the hundreds of people that help make The North Face Endurance Challenge a series of world-class events. Thank you for being an important part of ensuring the Endurance Challenge athlete experience is second to none!
Volunteer opportunities are as follows:For Saturday (June 5th) and Sunday (June 6th) Start and Finish Festival (Algonkian State Regional Park in Sterling (parking, finish line, runner check-in, and more), aid station captains and volunteers (Saturday), water station captains and volunteers (Sunday) – both are ideal for running clubs or groups.
Volunteer benefits package valued at $49 to include The North Face Velocitee shirt, The North Face E50 Bottle and a hot meal (Saturday and Sunday). There will be additional
merchandise compensation for aid/water station captains, shuttle bus & parking monitors, and course drivers.
