Mary Watson-DeLauder, the well-known sommelier from her 15 years at Lansdowne Resort in 
Leesburg, has just added a new title to her impressive resume: Chief Wine Officer for Benchmark Hospitality International. Yes, the management company does manage Lansdowne so all of her wine groupies will be able to benefit from her expertise as she oversees the company’s wide-ranging portfolio of hotels, conference centers, and resorts.
We have been following Mary’s ventures into other wine-related areas with her title as spokesperson for Virginia Tourism and wine consultant and seminar leader at the new Cookology at Dulles Town Center. Mary currently is expanding the Chilean wine portfolio for Benchmark’s portfolio.
It’s always a pleasure to listen to Mary teach and talk the vine.
