In its latest issue, Washingtonian highlights “Great Day Trips” from the D.C. area. On the list? Leesburg for its terrific restaurants where “good food comes with a side of history.” The mag gave a shout-out to the popular Tuscarora Mill (aka Tuskie’s), housed in a renovated, 19th-century flour mill:
Very good American food, both modern and familiar, flows from a chef who doesn’t try to do too much. Simple preparations such as roast chicken are especially pleasing, and the wine list is exceptional.
Locals adore Tuskie’s not only for the dynamite grub, but also for its commitment to local growers.
