The latest issue of The Piedmont Virginian— out on newsstands this week– showcases paintings and photography from local artists, inspired by the region’s vineyards. So we were thrilled to learn that The Art League of Alexandria is hosting a Travel Workshop on Plein Air Painting in Virginia’s vineyards. Over Columbus Day weekend (October 12-13), artist Bobbi Pratte will be leading a course at Tarara Winery’s picturesque vineyards located near Leesburg. You can “combine the sumptuous worlds of art and wine” with this intensive course, which includes a private winery tour and wine tasting, one gourmet taster’s lunch, and two days of painting demos and instruction.
