The Farm Wineries Council of Virginia announced a new VisaVA? program to promote tourism throughout the vineyards of Virginia.? Drawings for seven VisaVA weekend get-away prizes will be held October 11th at the Old Town Food & Wine Festival in Alexandria, VA. The seven get-away prizes include weekend stays at The Tides Inn on the Chesapeake Bay, Marriott Ranch in Hunt Country, The Berry Hill Resort in South Boston, the new Salamander Resort and Spa in Middleburg, Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, and The Homestead at Hot Springs, Virginia. The Grand Prize is a round trip for two to Bordeaux France. This package includes round trip airfare and hotel accommodations for two.
Simply visiting wineries around the state qualifies players to enter drawings for each of the VisaVA trips. Winery visits are recorded on a VisaVA game card. Players can choose to play just for their favorite get-away by visiting seven wineries, or go for the grand prize by visiting 42 different wineries throughout the season. When the game card is complete, the VisaVA is mailed to enter prize drawings. The VisaVA program and qualification details and a downloadable VisaVA game card can be found at www.VirginiaWineEvents.com. The promotion will run from February 7, 2009 to October 11, 2009.
The Virginia Wine Country VisaVA game card was released at The Virginia Wine Showcase. The game card will be available at Virginia wineries while supplies last. The VisaVA program and qualification details and a downloadable VisaVA game card can be found at www.VirginiaWineEvents.com starting February 7, 2009.
