If you’d like to sample several different Virginia wines without having to run around the Piedmont, then the 7 PM dinner at Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm on Tuesday, February 3rd may be the perfect outing. The warm interior of the restaurant with its snow-covered rolling fields as a backdrop will be an inviting setting for the multi-course dinner, $70 a person, excluding tax and gratuity.
The four paired courses, plus a light dessert with a champagne sabayon, lets you sample from Rappahannock Cellars, Jefferson Vineyards, Barboursville Vineyards, and Hillsborough Vineyards. You will experience a range of tastes and flavors including Rappanhannock’s Seyval Blanc paired with an Onion Tart and a Muscovy Duck course paired with Barboursville’s Cabernet Franc.
Contact the restaurant directly for reservations (571-209-1200), and the opportunity to warm up with these hearty winter courses and lovely wines.
