Grab your scarves and gloves and get ready for some weekend fun. Bluemont Vineyard celebrates its first anniversary with festivities both Saturday and Sunday. Fields of Athenry supplies the Irish Stew, and there’ll be plenty of live music, free tastings, and of course, birthday cake. Or drive on over to Middleburg this Friday and Saturday (or the last Friday and Saturday of the month) to join the community as it celebrates the region’s local harvest. The first of its kind, the Restaurant Festival will pair seasonal produce with the area’s culinary talents. Restaurants including Annie’s, Back Street Cafe, Coach Stop, the French Hound, the Red Fox Inn, and the Hidden Horse Tavern are a few of the participants who have created special menus. Ayrshire Farm is supplying meats to many of the restaurants. Make your reservations and join in on the town’s first celebration that highlights the meats, fruits, vegetables, and wines of the Piedmont. Plenty to celebrate.
