Just Say Viognier May 30th Tarara Winery will celebrate its Anniversary with a Fine Wine Festival.  Come to Tarara to enjoy and experience five Virginia Viogniers chosen by a panel of distinguished wine writers as the Best of Virginia. Each wine will be paired with an exquisite dish to culminate a progressive meal. Wine seminars and Vineyard Tours complete this once in a lifetime occasion.
The Viognier selection process took place on March 4 at Equinox Restaurant.  Several Virginia wineries submitted their Viognier’s to be judged by the panel that included distinguished wine writers and connoisseurs. This panel included Laurie Forster, Dave McIntyre, Todd Gray, Andrew Stover, and Nycci Nellis.  Five wines were chosen during a blind tasting to represent the “Best of Virginia.”  These wines are from Tarara Winery, Veritas Winery, Cooper Vineyards, Keswick Vineyards, and Casanel Vineyards. The selected vineyards and their respective Viogniers will be paired with innovative dishes from Patowmack Farm, Equinox Restaurant, Vintage 50, 2941, and Della’s Tea as the centerpiece of Tarara’s Fine Vine Festival. Ease into the day with jazz by Tre Felton then kick back to the lively tunes of The Monster Band.  Advance tickets are $125.00 per person but are limited.
