Dinner, music, and stargazing; the Dinner & Music Series continues at the Stone Terrace! Chamomile & Whiskey will be performing live throughout the night. The band, who has toured nationally and played at notable festivals like Floyd Fest and Festy, will be bringing their “mountainous folk-rock” sound to The Market at Grelen. Their latest album features bluegrass fiddle melodies as well as traditional Irish rhythms. Dinner options will be available from the Casual Cafe menu and local drinks will be available for purchase on-site.

Upperville Colt & Horse Show

The Upperville Colt & Horse Show enters its 165th anniversary this year! Founded in 1853 to encourage better breeding of horses, it is the oldest horse show in the country. Thousands of equestrians, horse breeders, and spectators gather in Upperville each year to admire some of the nation’s most talented horses and riders. During this week, the nation’s top ranking hunters and jumpers will compete alongside the local ponies, sidesaddle ladies, and racing Jack Russell Terriers.
This year, the show will hold Military Appreciate Day on Thursday, June 7 with free admission for all members of the military and their families.General Admission is $10 per person each day, including Grand Prix Sunday.

The Intimate Landscape: Photography Retreat

Deepen your photography skills and experience the creative freedom of shooting in the wide-open spaces of The Farm at Walnut Creek! The workshop will first explore the elements of effective photography and break down the components that make a photograph “good.” There will be discussion of landscape photography and the intimate experience of nature as well as best practices for photo storage and editing. This small class is designed so that participants can ask the instructor questions, get feedback on their photography, and enjoy a locally-sourced meal together.
Suitable for all experience levels, using digital camera or iPhone. Bring your camera and wear clothing suitable for walking around on the farm (boots, long pants, jacket, etc.). Availability is limited, get tickets here.
