Over 100 people visited River District Arts’ open house Saturday, October 2nd, to check out the new artist studios while enjoying the sensual Brazilian duo Beleza Brasil. Visitors were able to see, in person, how months of construction transferred the Sperryville, VA former apple warehouse into modern studios and gallery space. The Confluent Gallery of Art had its first show with acclaimed Charlottesville artist Matt Kleberg who brought refreshing and larger than life portraits and animals to Rappahannock County.

RDA is still currently looking for artists who are interested in becoming a member and who are interested in renting a studio. Studio spaces will be rented to artist’s one-year at a time on the basis of work submitted to a jury. There are 9 studios which can be rented by a single artist or they can be shared by a group of artists.
