I was recently invited to take a tour of Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Va. I’ve often wondered what resorts in the Piedmont would be like. As you can imagine, most of the resorts that you hear about are along our beautiful East Coast near the ocean, or in the mountains where there are about 100 things to keep you busy during your stay there. I wondered what would “keep me busy” if I ever decided to stay at Lansdowne Resort. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised!
Lansdowne Resort is amazingly large, but also amazingly beautiful. There are many different types of rooms available, and all of them were extremely clean and well kept. Warm tones are used through out each room and give it that “cozy” and inviting feel. The rooms truly are of great quality. From deluxe guest rooms to the Presidential suite, you are sure to be wowed.
While at the resort, I was also impressed with their multiple conference/meeting rooms. Whether you have a small business or a corporate business, the conference rooms are great for everyone. Each conference room fits your needs — from projectors and computers, or just simple tables and chairs, Lansdowne has you covered. These rooms are also fantastic for wedding receptions.
Many people stay at Lansdowne during business trips or day trips, but if you’re concerned about gas prices this Summer or just don’t have the time to travel, Lansdowne is a wonderful option for your Summer vacation. Lansdowne has listened to the needs and desires of their visitors and they have put together special vacation packages, all while keeping the economy in mind. Beginning June 17th, this AAA 4-Diamond full service golf and spa resort will offer a variety of overnight packages starting at $219, as well as a variety of free activities for children and adults. Indulge in a spa treatment, a golf outing, or sit back and relax in one of the five pools at the Aquatic Complex. Enjoy Sounds of Summer Friday Concerts, belly flop contests, a family golf clinic and putting contest, outdoor yoga, pie eating contests, arts and crafts by the pool, Sunday Cinema on the Green, and so much more – many of these being complimentary with your mini-vacation Funtastic Family Summer package at Lansdowne Resort.
There are also other activities at the resort that can be part of your Summer time fun package for just $5 to $30 more per person. Some of these activities include Virginia Wine Tastings at On The Potomac, one of five restaurants at the resort (all of which use local produce!). Other activities include cake demonstrating classes, extended resort rascals daycare, night golfing, s’mores by the fire and tennis clinics. Surely, there is something for everyone at Lansdowne Resort this summer! There are still plenty of local things to do should you find that you’d like to linger away from the resort during your stay. Have fun shopping and dining at the Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets, only minutes away from the resort, or enjoy sightseeing and visiting some of the most memorable museums and memorials our region has to offer at our nation’s capital, Washington DC, only 45 minutes away from your luxury room at Lansdowne Resort.
Not only is the resort fantastic, but all of their employees are extremely helpful and are there to answer any questions you may have. I felt like I could actually relax while I was there — isn’t that what you’re supposed to do at a resort after all? Speaking of relaxing, I took advantage of Spa Minerale while at the resort, and enjoyed a 50 minute hot stone massage. It was so quiet in the spa and the atmosphere that they have created there was like no other spa that I’ve been to. Lansdowne truly get’s 5 stars for that experience!
There are a variety of packages available, all packed full of freebies, so be sure to visit http://www.lansdownresort.com and pick the best package available for you and your family. Have a blast at this quality resort and take comfort in knowing that you’re saving money while you sit back and enjoy some fun in the sun this summer.
