The title for this weekend’s upcoming art exhibit at Live an Artful Life is “The Land That I Love” — I couldn’t have picked a more beautiful painting than this (pictured right) that expresses the true beauty of this region and why we love to call it “home”.
On May 14th Live an Artful Life, located in The Plains, VA, will host an opening reception from 5-8pm for well known local artist Tom Neel. The reception will include live jazz music by Brian Litz Trio and a wine tasting by Philip Carter Winery.
For over 20 years, this self taught artist has painted and become one of the best known landscape painters in the Piedmont. Neel’s strong sense of color and composition bring his oil paintings to life and are known to capture the best of the Piedmont. Neel is also one of our region’s most acclaimed artists preserving the area through his works of art. We have even showcased some of his paintings in our magazine! His paintings can be found in many local private and corporate collections as well as nationally, coast to coast, and in many parts of Europe.
We hope that you’ll take the time out of your weekend to enjoy these gorgeous paintings from one of our beloved Piedmont artists!
Feel free to visit Live an Artful Life’s website or blog for more information on all of the wonderful things they have to offer!
