Somehow the Fall season has become a hectic merry-go-round and Halloween is still 5 days away. Here are a few treats worth considering before we start thinking of dressing the turkey.
It’s not too late to go to Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg and take advantage of their Pink Spa concept. This being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Spa Minerale joins other resorts in their hotel portfolio and donates 1% of their Total Spa Services revenue for the month. Hurry, relax and help this important cause during the final days of the month.
If tennis is your game, then The Boar’s Head in Charlottesville may help your serve as they host the Virginia National Bank Men’s Professional Tennis Championship (October 31-November 8). How about an opportunity to celebrate a milestone and be rewarded with a great package price. Keswick Resort celebrates its 10th anniversary as a member of the Orient-Express Hotel Group. As the leaves continue to enchant, Sunday Brunch always has a delicious ring. If Jazz is your relaxing Sunday morning style, then a trip to Patowmack Farm for Jazz Sunday from 11 A to 2P may be the perfect combination of great organic foods and a welcome to the new month. The $40 three-course (or a la carte) Jazz Brunch will be offered both November 1 and November 15th. If you just love brunch, don’t worry, there are plenty of weekends to relax at the Restaurant.
If the cynic in you is ready, then a trip to the Virginia Film Festival on Friday November 6th should make a “save the date” calendar entry. That’s the night the movie “Corked!” will be shown at Regal 3 in Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall. The mockumentary will give true wine lovers and skeptics alike an opportunity to enjoy spectacular vineyard footage while watching so-called vintage characters: a wine evangelist, a vineyard manager, and an independent winemaker.
Lots to enjoy.
